Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Chairman Eric Schmidt advocated Artificial Intelligence(AI) as the technology platform which provided pressing answers to many of the world ‘hard’ problems. AI solution Models

The Chairman of Google’s holding company believes that the strong analytics that AI builds on gives scientists the much needed information, data and the cause-effect sequences to chart solution models.

Apart from global solutions it will most importantly provide personalized systems, Schmidt said.

Personalized systems

The highlight of Schmidt’s AI advocacy was the possibility of AI building ‘new, personalized systems.’ His example to illustrate such new exciting science was the possibility of AI building an Eric ‘which was digital thing and helps’ the flesh-and-blood ‘Eric,’ the person.

Backing AI

Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is one of the key backers of AI and has been working on several projects. These include business solutions to making self-driving cars or the voice-assisted navigation of the internet on mobile phones.

Apart from Google’s own large-scale and advanced AI processes for services and products, other technology companies too are on the AI bandwagon now.

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) strategically purchased the AI software for image/face-recognition and tweaked it to meet the social networking sites services. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM) and Chinese search engine  Baidu Inc (ADR)(NASDAQ:BIDU) too have their strategies for research in AI technology.

Standardization is the Key

Schmidt said that the immense potential of AI as a influential solution source, should be exploited by companies through collaborative working. The research, tools and publishing should be standardized, Schmidt said.

The Chairman of Alphabet Inc(NASDAQ:GOOGL) said that most of the advances in technology and scientific sphere have been because of the ‘standardized approach.’ The current research level in the AI field is very similar to the ‘early days’ of mobile phone or the PC industry, Schmidt added.
